A surprise

At the end of April I had my niece Angelicka sleep over. She is four and an absolute doll!

Well upon taking her home, I was chatting with her mom her told me my older niece Sabrina who is 13 was being baptised Saturday afternoon. I was so surprised and shocked because the last time I had spoken to my niece about what she believed she told me she wanted to be Catholic. Then it hot me that my sister Sam was going through  the temple for the first time at the same time. So what did I do? I tracked my niece done to find out the scoop.. She however was at young women's and at the church history library. Feeling slightly defeated I got in my car to drive to my moms house, when i saw two missionaries walking down the street. I honked my horn and stopped them . They were hesitant but came over as I got out of my car. I suspected they were the  ones teaching my niece and I was right. So after chatting with everyone they decided to do it Friday night so I could be there, to support her. I was really excited about this and was honored that she choose Bryce and I both to speak.

I am so proud of her for making the choices she has made and for doing it all by herself. Sharing this beautiful event with her brought back lots of memories for me. I was 13 when I started going to church again. The same age as her. It literally changed the course of my life and i know it will do the same for her. I cried like a baby, I could hardly believe that this was the same little girl I took to church with me, who only cared about the cheerios and toys I brought for her.
