Perspectives

A few days ago I was going through a box of things that has been at my moms house since i moved out after my high school graduation. In that box was an old journal as I was looking through it, I couldn't help but laugh at all the silly things i had written in it. Then I cam across a page that was highlight important. I had all sort of colors and it was an entry that i had spent more time on then I normally would have. There was a list of things here is a few items from the list.
I will go to college and have my doctorate by the time I am 30
I will go on a 18 month mission
I will not got married until I am 25 or 26
I will be engaged for at least a year and date the person for at least two years
I will not have any kids until I am 28 and done with school
I will not be a stay at home mom
I will live life to the fullest and live for the moment.
I will always have my belly button pierced
I will not settle for anything but the very best
I will make a difference for everyone I meet
I will be random, spontaneous and do as I please.
I will always vote for the underdog in presidential campaigns or any other voting process
I will keep pink and orange as my favorite colors and cherries at a signature mark.

Well people their was a lot more on the list, i had three pages full of I will's. I can say I no longer have my bell button pierced. When I was filling out my mission papers I decided to marry Bryce and did't go on a mission. We kinda knew each other for five months before we started dating and only dated for four months and were engaged for five. I am a stay at home mom. I once thought that being a stay at meant you were giving up you life dreams and goals. I have learned that dreams change over time. I love being home with my sweet daughter and watching her grow and overcome milestones. I wouldn't change it for anything. It is interesting to see now that the many things I thought when I was 17 no longer have the same meaning or matter to me. i am still in school and working towards my bachelor degree in Social Work. While some of the things remain the same, I love pink and orange and believe in living in the moment (most of the time). Perspectives change with life.
