Hey... I have too

Okay so today the newest member of my family arrived Rozlyn Abigail Robinson. Do you like the name? I picked it out. She is a doll, I am so excited for our photo shoot Thursday.

As I was sitting at the hospital chatting with some family and friends the topic of beer came up. One of the guest that had arrived smelled of it. (it was so gross) I made sure she didn't hold the baby. I was happy when she left. Anyways we were talking about this, those of us that noticed. One person made a comment about how I  (Jamie) have never bought beer... haha guess what I bought a 24 pack when I was only 19. Yup 19 and proud of it and would do it again.

Here is why... The summer that I was 19, I went through a tough time.. I moved to Boise, ID for the summer to sell Living Scriptures Products. I made lots of money and hated every bit of it. With the exception of a great couple I got to know and became instant friends with. (I'll post about them another time). I was working one Saturday, it was hot, my car didn't have AC, I had been working for 8 hours and still had two more left.. When I saw a stand for popsicles, I immediately pulled over got my wallet and went to purchase my Popsicle. As I was paying, I had a very strong impression to ask them what was in their other cooler. They opened it and low and behold their was a 24 pack of beer. I told them I wanted it all, asked where they lived and how the got it. The kids were somewhere between 6-10. After purchasing it, I went to there house. Guess what? their Dad was drunk and smoking a joint. I didn't say anything to him other then I had the wrong address. I got back in my car, called the police. I told the police that I would leave them on speaker phone, but that I was going back to the kids. They were down the street from the house. Once the police arrived, I gave them my report and beer. They asked if I wanted the money back from the kids. I said no and left the scene. It was a very humbling experience and not one I ever want to deal with again, but if I had to I would.
